Before you start

Stay inside the official suite for private files. Confirm prices on wps.com if a Premium dialog appears. Live-text PDFs convert. Scans need OCR, and OCR is a common paid wall.

If you cannot select a sentence in the PDF, you do not have Word yet. Uploading the file to a stranger’s convert website is a leak, not a shortcut.

Steps

  1. Decide if the PDF is live text Open it in WPS and try to select a sentence. If you cannot, you have a scan.
  2. Use built-in convert From the PDF app or convert menu, choose PDF to Word (DOCX). Do not upload the file to a stranger’s website.
  3. Name a Premium wall Batch convert and OCR often sit behind paid plans. Do not download a convert crack.
  4. Open the DOCX in Writer Turn on formatting marks. Delete leftover text boxes. Reapply Heading styles.
  5. Check fonts and page breaks Compare page by page with the PDF. Missing fonts reflow titles. Then Save As DOCX.
  6. Send PDF if layout is the contract Keep DOCX as your working file when the other party needs identical pages.
